Kia ora, I’ve made working in geospatial information my profession, and I’m currently the spatial data infrastructure engagement leader as part the NZ Geospatial Office team at LINZ. My role involves advocating, working with our stakeholders, and helping develop capability in a variety of areas including the social sector and have an interest in working with Iwi Māori groups. 

I have managed many mapping projects for Iwi Maori in New Zealand supporting hearings and settlement negotiations, and provided about 20 project management Marae based workshops since 2012.

Over the past few years I led the Geospatial shared services team at DOC. I also managed a variety of successful professional services IT projects for clients of Eagle Technology Group Ltd. 

In 2007-2010 Moka Apiti and I directed capacity development programmes for the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) leading 80 geographically distributed engineers working with International Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to implement enterprise information management systems in all eighteen Iraqi Provincial Councils and Government Infrastructure Departments of Afghanistan. 

I studied Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Waikato, am PMP certified, Agile ScrumMaster, PM4DEV, and Registered Practitioner of PRINCE2, MSP, ITIL (Services) and PMD Pro level 2. I was a finalist in the NZ 2015 Spatial Excellence Awards and a lead Judge for the 2016 Awards.
